In my experience, Ingrid, management is often hesitant to promote or shift resources to social media because, I suspect (though this is never quite explicitly said), it puts so-called company resources in the private control of a recruiter/sourcer (via a profile, say). This, at least, has been my frustration (which I go into more here, in the comments). As for metrics, I'm curious to know how they have been implemented with respect to social media.

Since the birth of Web 2.0 tools and technologies, recruiters within my network have been challenged on metrics, process and performance. Their professional clientele has started requesting "Best Practice Procedures" and "Best Case Scenrios" on use of these technologies. What has been your challenge, frustration or success in using Myspace, Facebook, Second Life or Blogs?
