Seeking referrals for reliable background checking
I've just been contacted by a firm called Criminal411 based in Dallas, Texas, concerning their services for background/criminal checks. Has anyone ever used this service? We are in the process of finalizing our policy to begin conducting background checks on new hires, and any information/referrals are appreciated.

I went through this same task about two years ago, and after weeding through various vendors I decided to go with Sterling Testing based in NYC. They were great and they did drug testing too.

Hi, we use ESS (Employment Screening Services). ESS provides extensive background investigation options as well as top notch customer service. Turn around time on the 8 point investigation we use has been 24 hours. ESS also provides free training on their services and applicable employment law:
